We will work towards earning the new Tecumseh Council Winter
Camping Award.
We will be camping at Fallen Timbers – in tents or Adirondack shelter.
Cracker barrel on Friday & Saturday night will be provided.
Saturday breakfast (oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, bagel, cream cheese, hot
chocolate, coffee) will be provided.
You must provide your own lunch on Saturday for Klondike
Derby!
Saturday supper and Sunday breakfast will be cooked over open fires in
accordance with Tecumseh Council Winter Camping Award
requirements – each patrol is responsible for planning and buying food.
Review Chapter 11 & 13 of the Field Book
Must haves: sleeping bag (rated 20 F or better), foam pad, stocking cap,
warm sleep wear (e.g., long johns & socks), winter boots, and layered
clothing (e.g., polypropylene long underwear + fleece/sweater +
windproof pants and jacket + socks (wool/synthetic blend)), warm parka,
mittens/gloves (wool /synthetic) with water resistant outer shell, rain
gear, plate, bowl, spoon, cup, wide mouth water bottles, matches in
waterproof container, flashlight, toiletries, and medications.
