Miscellaneous Notes:
SCHEDULE - Saturday (26th) – 
6:30 AM - Meet at Scout Hut, load gear, go to Camp Birch, Compete 
5:00 or 5:30 - Arrive at Scout Hut, unload at Scout Hut
5:30 or 6:00? - Deliver Boys to Homes

		Or, if camping - Friday (25th) to Sunday (27th)
			Friday afternoon – Meet at Scout Hut, load gear, go to Camp Birch, camp
Saturday – Compete in Klondike Derby, campfire (results), camp
Sunday – Breakfast, church service, pack, and return to Scout Hut.


EVENTS - Guessing:  Orienteering, first aid, fire building, team spirit, teamwork, ingenuity, knots, 			lashing, safety, cooking, problem solving, scout knowledge, and sled racing

MEALS (for Derby only) - Eat a good breakfast on your own before coming to Scout Hut.
	Candy or Granola bars or trail mix for snacks
	Saturday Lunch - Brown bag lunches (individual) – Nutritionally balanced, will be judged 
	Saturday Supper - None, we won't stop on way home


ELIGIBILITY - Dues paid through January (done for cave trip)
		  Medical/Permission slips current


EQUIPMENT - PATROL:  Klondike sled, patrol flag, roster, two 20' ropes (whipped), 20' of twine,
flint/steel or hot spark kit (NO matches or lighters)/tinder/fire-building fuel, watch, blanket, pocketknife, three 6-ft poles, compass, first aid kit with 5 cravats/gauze/splint material, clipboard w/cover & paper, pen, trash bag, tarp(s), 3 gal water, cups, mess kit (eq)/spatula, flashlight, Scout Handbook and Fieldbook (in bag), nutritious lunch for each scout.  

INDIVIDUAL:  Class B uniform (shirt) (with a pen in the pocket)
         	Rain Gear and full change of clothes (wrapped, on sled)
		Nutritious/balanced (brown bag?) lunch and eating tools as needed (on sled)
		Boots (insulated), light undersocks and wool socks
		Thermal underwear (tops & bottoms)
		Other sweaters, sweat shirts, or flannel shirts - LAYERS!! - whatever you need 
		Mid-weight coat (if have other layers) or winter coat
		Winter hat -MUST HAVE, light gloves, and heavy gloves or mittens
		Heavy pants (jeans)
		Compass, Canteen or bottle, Pocketknife & Totin Chit (NO Matches)
