| Event Description |
Annual Troop 71 event where folks get
rid of (unwanted) stuff to raise funds for their own Scouts'
account(s). The event is held primarily in the Scout Hut,
with larger items displayed on the parking lot of Aley United
Methodist Church. Towards the end of the rummage sale, unsold items are "marked down" to half price. Unsold items at the end of the rummage sale are donated to charity (usually, Goodwill because they're close and will pick-up). The exception is when an item is marked with an "X" -- preferably a red X -- to signify that the item should not be marked down to half price or donated to charity if unsold. For the Scout to obtain credit for items sold, at least one adult from each participating scout’s family must work a 3-hour shift. Click on this Rummage Sale flyer for more information. |
