Five-Mile Hike

EVENT DESCRIPTION

This is a fun event that provides our new Scouts with their first overnight camping experience. The hike starts around 11:00 AM, Saturday morning, with a break for lunch. In years past, venues for the hike have included Creekside Trail (which parallels US-35 in Beavercreek), Camp Birch, John Bryan State Park, and Hocking Hills. The Scouts carry light, day-packs with water and lunch. All overnight supplies are loaded on our trailer and hauled to the camp site to await the Scouts. The Scouts camp over night. They have a simple Scout's Own Religious Service on Sunday Morning. Parents come to the camp site and pick-up their Scouts
